The local radio station was doing a tribute this morning, playing songs from all of his movies. Anyhow, the DJ mentioned that the original cut of The Breakfast Club was 2.5 hours (Universal cut it down to about 1.5 hours). Hughes said in some interview that Universal destroyed the footage and he had the only remaining copy in storage. I wonder if it'll ever be released.
